According to Paneristi.com, Officine Panerai has offered to swap the movements of the New York edition Luminor PAM00318 that was the subject of so much controversy recently. This will be done gratis at the New York and Los Angeles boutiques but owners have to cover shipping and insurance. Panerai has been caught about the movements in its latest chronos - until exposed by Perezscope (link below), they were advertising & claiming that the new models have a new, in-house movement. The issue however is that this is not a .The Panerai Luminor Marina Logo Brooklyn Bridge Limited Edition PAM318 features a 44mm stainless steel case surrounding a black dial on a black leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle. Functions include hours, minutes and small-seconds.
While I would accept this movement in my Hamilton Khaki Mech (I think it is that exact unfinished movement), I paid 350 dollars for it. That story is quite interesting! I am shocked that this somehow got approved by the top-brass at the company. Somewhere in the company someone decided to do.
