The new P.9200 caliber used in Panerai’s recently introduced chronograph family is a basic ETA 2892-A2 with Dubois Dépraz chronograph module. This unsettling episode opened a veritable can of worms. Known for its robustness and versatility, the high-end extra-flat automatic ETA 2892, or, to be precise, its updated version, 2892A2, powers timepieces from numerous brands; it is often used as a base and also paired with modules to add complications such as world time, power reserve indicators and chronographs.
