What makes this one special is it features an "Explorer" dial, meaning it has Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9, just like an Explorer would. On top of that, it also features an underline at 6 o'clock. If you know vintage Rolex, you know how highly sought after Explorer dial Submariners really are – and here we have one that came within an inch of losing about 90% of its value, now being offered at auction by the original (extremely lucky) owner.Rolex Submariner vs. Explorer II: Dial and Hands. The dial of the Explorer II is iconic for a few reasons.
